AIR.I.C is a producer and beat maker from Detroit, Michigan who began producing in 2015 equipped with his first sampler and Logic Pro. A lot of the music from this period would end up on his debut beat tape “14 Karats,” which was self-released in 2017.
AIR.I.C takes a purist approach to beat making, relying solely on an MPC and sampling whatever he can route into it. Whether it’s vinyl records, cassettes, VHS tapes, or live instruments, AIR filters it through his lofi jazz and soul production style to make something refreshingly vintage.
